2. What the scores and signals are, and are not

The Service expresses a company’s position across three dimensions (valuation, emotion and fundamentals) and a combined “asymmetry” reading, together with associated visual indicators (including colour-coded signals).

• They are derived calculations, not facts. Every score is the output of a model that makes assumptions and simplifications. Reasonable people may disagree with the methodology or its inputs.
• They are not predictions. No score, signal, colour, ranking or visualisation is a forecast of future price, performance, or outcome. They describe a calculated present position, not a future result.
• They are not buy or sell recommendations. A “positive” or green reading is not a suggestion to buy, and a “negative” or red reading is not a suggestion to sell or avoid. They are descriptive outputs for your own interpretation.
• They may be wrong. Models can be mis-specified, inputs can be stale or erroneous, and markets can behave in ways no model anticipates.

Market and financial data, including prices, fundamentals, filings-derived figures, estimates and other inputs, are obtained from third-party data providers. This data is provided to you “as is” and “as available”, and may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, mis-mapped, restated or otherwise unreliable.
